    Botulinum Toxin

    Botulinum Toxin is a purified substance derived from bacteria (Clostridium Botulinum), which causes botulism. Commonly known types of botulinum toxin type A injections include Botox or Dysport.

    Its application blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscles activity. It is used in many areas of medicine as the spastic contractions of paraplegics and is also utilized in neurosurgery.

    In cosmetic medicine, Botulinum Toxin is used for the temporary paralysis of the muscles, reducing the expression lines and wrinkles of aging skin.

    Its effect is temporary and it lasts approximately 4 months. After that period, new applications can be made.




    Forehead wrinkles, between the eyebrows furrow, the famous crow’s feet, frown lines and skin bands on the neck.

    Appliance in infralabial muscles elevates the corner of the mouth, and it smooths the expression when it is used in the corner of the eyebrows.
